Edukasi Pencegahan Penyakit Skabies Melalui Peer Educator Di Sekolah Enterpreneur Tahfidz Kekasih Al-Aqsha, Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan

Abstract


Scabies Prevention Through Peer Educators At The Entrepreneur School Of Tahfidz Kekasih Al-Aqsha, Gowa, South Sulawesi

Based on a survey that was carried out, it was found that there were incidents of head lice and scabies infections at the Tahfidz Kekasih Al-Aqsa Entrepreneurial School, in Pattallassang, Kab. Gowa, South Sulawesi. This shows that the student's knowledge of this disease is still low. So it is necessary to carry out outreach to increase students' knowledge of the dangers of scabies and its treatment. 45 students and 5 teachers attended this counseling. The methods used in this service are lecture, question and answer, and scabies examination. The presentation of material about scabies was carried out using PowerPoint media, after which the material continued with a question-and-answer session. At the end of the activity, a health examination was carried out to identify and provide treatment to students and teachers who suffered from scabies. The results of the counseling showed that 2 students were suffering from scabies. The counseling was considered successful because the students answered all the questions (100%).

Berdasarkan survei yang telah dilakukan ditemukan adanya kejadian infeksi kutu rambut dan skabies (kudis) di Sekolah Enterpreneur Tahfidz Kekasih Al-Aqsha, di Pattallassang, Kab. Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Hal ini menunjukkan masih rendahnya pengetahuan para santri terhadap penyakit tersebut. Maka perlu dilakukan sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan santri terhadap bahaya penyakit skabies serta pengobatannya. Penyuluhan ini diikuti oleh 45 orang santri dan 5 orang guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode ceramah, tanya jawab, dan pemeriksaan skabies. Pemaparan materi tentang skabies dilakukan menggunakan media PowerPoint, setelah pemaparan materi dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab. Di akhir kegiatan, dilakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan untuk mengetahui dan memberikan pengobatan kepada santri maupun guru yang menderita skabies. Hasil penyuluhan menunjukkan bahwa ada 2 orang santri yang menderita skabies. Penyuluhan dinilai berhasil karena semua pertanyaan yang diberikan berhasil dijawab oleh santri (100%).
