PENYULUHAN TENTANG KANKER SERVIKS PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI SMK KESEHATAN PGRI DENPASAR

Abstract

Cancer is a disease caused by abnormal growth of body tissue cells that turn into cancer cells. In its development, these cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph system so that it can cause death. It can affect everyone, in any part of the body, and in all age groups, but is more common in people over the age of 40. To achieve this goal, the implementation of a control program that includes promotive and preventive efforts by increasing public knowledge about cancer, providing community empowerment activities in the form of Posbindu, and early detection of cancer. Lack of knowledge of young women and proper information about the health of reproductive organs, can lead to a lack of responsibility for the health of their reproductive organs. Based on the analysis of the situation above, we are interested in carrying out community service with the activity "Advocacy on Cancer Services for Young Women at the PGRI Health Vocational School Denpasar". The purpose of the implementation is to increase the awareness of adolescent girls at the PGRI Denpasar Health Vocational School about Cervical Cancer. While the benefits of the activity for respondents are increasing the information and knowledge for young women so that young women have a better understanding about Servical Cancer, and as a material for consideration and evaluation for teachers and school principals in programming adolescent reproductive counseling for their students
